House League

Players age 9-12 are welcome to take part in the house league. The league is coed

The house like season runs in line with the Chevy Outdoor Rink. While there will be some preseason sessions at The Gardens Ice House before the Chevy rink opens, all other league practices and games take place at Chevy.

• All house games will be played in 50 minute ice slots.

• All games will be running time, unless there is a 1 goal lead (or less) with 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd period. 

• 3 periods of 13 minute running time. 

• Tied games after 3 periods will result in a tie

• Standard Penalties and Rules will be assessed from the first game of the season. 

• Thursday night games will have a hard stop at 8:10pm to clear the ice for team practices following the game.



• Players are limited to scoring 3 goals per game to help keep the league balanced.

Teams practice on Tuesdays and Thursday nights on a rotational basis.

Tuesday Practice:

• 6:00pm - 6:50pm
• 6:50pm - 7:40pm

Thursday Practice:

• 6:30pm - 7:20pm

All practices are shared amongst all house teams in the same practice slot.

Teams will play 1 game per week. Most games will take place on Friday nights, however there will be 1 Thursday night game slot.

Thursday Games:

• 7:20pm - 8:10pm

Friday Games:

• 6:10pm - 7:00pm
• 7:10pm - 8:00pm

The goalie is the most important position on the ice. Without Goalies, games can not take place. While the house league will have a few returning goalies from last season, a majority of teams will have first time goalies.

All members of the house league community should help to encourage and support our beginner goalies and help to create an environment where playing goalie is a fun and exciting experience, not a chore that everyone has to suffer through.
