Skaters ages 5 and up and have mastered Basic 4 skills are welcome to tryout.

2026-27 Synchro Tryouts

Synchro Tryouts: August 23, Cabin John Ice Arena- $30 per skater

Skaters must arrive on time and ready to take the ice 5mins prior to their tryout session time. Skaters will need their own skates and be in all black (or as close to) athletic attire with their hair back neatly. Please keep in mind that your skater may need a jacket and gloves if they tend to get cold on the ice.

Please plan to have your skaters warm up off-ice prior to putting their skates on. A quick 5min warmup and 5min stretch can go a long way to avoiding injury!

1:30-2:30pm Silver Team Tryouts

Skaters must be Basic 4 and up. We are looking for ages 10 and under for this Aspire Level 1 team.

1:30-2:30pm Gold Team Tryouts

Skaters must be working on the Pre Freeskate level (strong back crossovers, 3-turns and mohawks at speed, etc.). This will be an Aspire Level 2 team.

2:30-3:30pm Red Team Tryouts

Skaters must have passed the Preliminary Skating Skills test or FS3. We hope to make this an Aspire Level 4 team.

3:30-4:30pm Black Team Tryouts

This is our highest-level synchro team. Skaters must be 12 years or older on the day of tryouts and have passed Pre-Juvenile Skating Skills (Juvenile skating skills test is preferred). Skaters are required to have mastered toe loop and flip jump in the left rotating direction. This team will be competing in the Pre- Juvenile division.
