Skating Class Curriculums

Beginners - all skating disciplines including hockey & figure skating 

• Age 4-5 = Snowplow Sam (See pdf)
• Age 6 up = Start at Basic 1 progressing through Basic 6 (see Basic 1-6 pdf) - we encourage hockey players to pass through Basic 5 to help with their fundamental skating skills.

Figure Skaters

•  After passing Basic 6 skaters will move on to Pre Free Skate through to Free Skate 6 (see Free Skate Curriculum)

US Figure Skating Testing

• Skaters will generally start US Figure Skating to help qualify for events and synchro teams once they are around Free Skate 3. Skaters will need private lessons to help prepare them for these tests.
